Journey of a Dress
Diane Von Furstenberg has encapsulated what she says “gave her freedom” in the Journey of a Dress exhibit honoring her famed wrap dress in Los Angeles. The exhibit will be open at the May Company building through April 1st. The grand opening brought in the likes of mega-blogger and total babe Jessica Stein of Tuula, model Coca Rocha, Vogue’s Editor in Chief Anna Wintour and many other fashion elite.
The exhibit features images of Diane by celebrated artists like Andy Warhol and photographer Annie Leibovitz as well as images highlighting the story of the wrap dress in famous movies. (Hello… Amy Adams in American Hustler looked fab-u-lous!) The bright walls and multi-printed walls all make for great selfie backgrounds too – Over 2300 Instagrammers out there have shared #journeyofthedress in the first week!
Celebrate the 40th anniversary of the wrap dress by visiting the exhibit or just picking up a new wrap dress to “feel like a woman”!
